A Codependence in Relationships Educational Video

Codependence is the tendency to over-control others. There is a very noble, unselfish, and authentic desire to help other people, but there is also a selfish component to codependence. The codependent is often very insecure and is just as dependent on the substance abuser as the abuser is on their substance. People who are codependent typically grew up in alcoholic or chemically dependent families and learned directly from their family of origin how they should act, and are simply just repeating what was taught.

Codependency is a disorder that can be understood and treated effectively and this educational video is presented in clear and easily understood language by Jef Gazley, M.S., LMFT, who has been a leader in the field of addiction and codependence relationships for over 36 years. It is a great place to start for recovery of this syndrome.
