In essence Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is delayed grieving due to an overwhelming trauma or stress. It can also be caused by numerous less severe traumas experienced over time. Luckily, new treatment modalities have been discovered in the past 10 years that relieve PTSD quickly and with much less painful emotion than more conventional therapies.
